Hey girls! I know I don't update as frequently lately, but I'll try to start doing it more.
Today was pretty good :) Got off to a rocky start, but I think I turned it around.
Intake
Breakfast
Ice cream sandwich - 160 cals
Snack
Strawberry Yoplait Light - 90 cals
Lunch
Banana Cream Pie Yoplait Light - 90 cals
Snack
Key Lime Greek yogurt - 160 cals
Dinner
Chicken stir-fry - 250 cals Banana - 105 cals String cheese - 70 cals
Snack
Graham crackers w/ peanut butter - 340 cals Chips Ahoy yogurt - 180 cals
Total Intake: 1445 Calories
Exercise
45 minutes of strength and toning work - 137 cals burned
Total Burned: 137 Calories
So today was pretty good I think. I maybe had an excessive amount of yogurt lol
And the ice cream sandwich for BREAKFAST? Yeah, not okay. Not even a little. But, I got RIGHT back on track and finished out the rest of the day strong.
Me and my mom did some strength work today. She's lost almost 20 lbs, so now she wants to start toning. So, I'm helping :) We did a workout today (directed by me), and she swears I was trying to kill her lol I'm like "No mom, just do it." She said I'll be a good trainer; she's like "You have just the right amount of 'shut up do it; no you're not done' but you aren't obnoxious about it." I was just like 'thanks :)' lol!
By the way, successfully made stir-fry tonight! It was delicioussssssss. Recipe time? I think so.
- 1 medium-large chicken breast - 1/2 green bell pepper - 1/4 onion - 5-6 baby carrots - 1 large celery stalk - 1 tbsp soy sauce - 1/2 tbsp teriyaki sauce - Juice of 1/2 a lemon - Pam cooking spray
Chop vegetables; put in bowl. Cut chicken into strips. Spray a skillet w/ cooking spray. Cook chicken until almost done, then add in vegetables. Squeeze the lemon onto the chicken and vegetables, and add the soy sauce and teriyaki sauce. Cook until done.
SO delicious.
This makes two 250 calories servings, so adjust based on how many servings you want, and add whatever veggies YOU like, those are just my favorites/suggestions :)
So I feel successful today. Tomorrow I'll definitely have more fruits and veggies, and work out more. Tomorrow mom and me are doing cardio. We're going to work out together Mon, Tues, Thurs, and Fri.
Also, I get my gym membership this weekend :) I'M SO EXCITED! lol!
You know what? I was watching a Ricky Gervais comedy special, and he made the point that being fat is a conscious decision. I mean, I knew that, but I never really thought of it like that.
Being fat, being unhealthy, being flabby, being out of shape, those are conscious choices we made. We CHOSE to eat too much, we CHOSE to skip working out, we CHOSE to cling to all of our bad habits.
So, why not make another choice?
Why not CHOOSE to eat right, to exercise daily, to drink enough water, and to get enough sleep. Yeah, those things are hard, but they're doable. It really is as simple as choosing a better life. We can ALL do that; no excuses ladies. You're tired of being fat? Choose to be thin, toned and healthy.
