Say what you want, but you're not gonna win this time...

Hey ladies! So the last few days have been a huge fail "/ Anniversary was fun (though I ended up having to pay for dinner, but he was counting on getting paid and he didn't so it wasn't his fault). We went out to eat, then sat around and watched comedy specials. Simple, but quite fun. :)

However, NOT weighing in today. I've eaten complete crap for three days (Thursday had fast food, Friday was buffet, and yesterday I just ate a bunch). And I'm on my period, which is probably why I've been craving everything. So to the girls in my group, sorry for lack of weigh-in, next week will be a big loss to make up for it :)

I feel like crap since I've been eating so much. I feel like I've completely failed this week. But, next week's brand new. :) Today I'm eating 2000 cals since it's Sunday, and then all week I'll stay under 1600.
I feel bad for messing up the last few days, but it happens to the best of us. No need in beating myself up now!

Tomorrow I'm starting couch-2-5k as well. So that will definitely help me get back on track. :) I'm doing it with FindingBeauty12, anyone else wanna join in?

Oh, and I went shopping yesterday :) Grocery dayyyy!  I got a bunch of goodies.

-1% and fat free yogurts
-Turkey bacon
-Mixed nuts
-Fruit (bananas, apples, grapefruit, watermelon, and pineapple)
-Veggies (spinach and bagged salad)
-Calcium fortified OJ
-2% milk
-Whole wheat bread
-Whole wheat spaghetti and five cheese sauce (100 cals per 1/2 cup :) )
-Whole wheat flatbread
-Light string cheese
-Skinny cow ice cream sandwiches (150 cals and only 5% saturated fat!)
-Frozen turkey burgers and whole wheat buns
-Powerade
-A couple of Lean Cuisines
-Protein bars (for after workouts)

So I think I did good :) And, we're spending the day making food to freeze for the rest of the week. Homemade chili, spaghetti red sauce, meatballs for pasta, etc. That way when dinner rolls around and no one feels like cooking, instead of grabbing chips and dip we'll grab an actual meal. And buying in bulk saves money :)

So here's my workout plan for the next few weeks:

Monday

Couch-2-5k
Strength and toning work

Tuesday

Yoga
Workout DVD

Wednesday

Couch-2-5k
Strength and toning work

Thursday

Long walk

Friday

Couch-2-5k
Tae-Bo Power (or something similar)

Saturday

SOMETHING. Anything. (I never work out on Saturdays, so even a short walk is better than nothing)

Sunday

Yoga

Sound good? I just desperately want to be fit. Toned. Slim. Healthy. Just in good shape. I want to look and feel fantastic. By this time next year, I want to wear a bikini. This Halloween I want to be something sexy without looking like a slob. This winter I want to wear sweat pants and big sweaters and look adorable, not like I'm trying to hide my pudge.

I've been thinking a lot about my future. If I pass my GED, I start college in the fall. I want to be someone completely new. I want to look like I've never looked, wear what I've never worn, and have self-esteem like I never have before. I want to go in oozing confidence. I want to make friends, not hide in the back under my jacket. I want to be a new girl.

And it doesn't hurt that there's a gym within walking distance of my school, and I'll get a student discount :)

Also, since it's weigh-in day for the challenge, I predict some drop outs. So anyone want to be put on the waiting list in case there are a few? I know of one already, but I need a few more girls on the waiting list.

And to the girls already in the challenge, make sure to weigh-in! We only have 2 more weeks, you can do this! We can all do this! Good luck!

That's all for now, hope everyone's well!

I'm glad you're not beating yourself up for the past few days. a slip every now and then keeps us sane, I think. and it's also nice that it was a weekend, so now you have the start of a brand new week to help you feel like you can wipe your slate clean :) Good luck! your plan for the week sounds great!

I would still weigh, even if you did mess up. you may not have even gained, but if you did, I mean, it's not the end of the world and in my opinion its beneficial to see that on the scale. first of all, those last three days were real. what you ate, was real. so your weight as a result, is real, but you'll never know what it is if you ignore it, and it's almost like ignoring that you deviated. what if you didn't gain at all? then you have a whole new perspective on what you can and can not eat in moderation. what if you only gained a little? you still gain from it, knowing how much was too much. i don't know, just my opinion.

Those high calorie days followed by low calorie days may actually shock your body into using the calories as fuel and not storing them as fat. I know a lot of girls who used to do calorie cycling. It seemed somewhat effective. I never had the diligence to do that.

College opens doors. education is the ticket to everything you could ever imagine. I wish you nothing but luck and success in that area. It's also very fulfilling. I have never been more proud of myself as when I got my degrees. I literally cried. Good luck to you!
